Marc D. Braverman is Of Counsel at Soler Legal LLC and a Partner at Dealy Silberstein & Braverman, LLP.
Marc represents clients in all facets of labor relations and employment litigation, including the negotiation and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements, and he has extensive experience handling matters involving Taft-Hartley multiemployer benefit plans. Marc litigates in both state and federal courts on behalf of pension and welfare funds, and contributing employers in a wide range of areas including withdrawal liability pursuant to the Multiemployer Pension Plan Amendments Act of 1980 (“MPPAA”), collection matters, claims made pursuant to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”) and issues involving fiduciary responsibility. Marc also regularly handles a variety of administrative and regulatory proceedings, including matters before the National Labor Relations Board.
Marc handles cases in state and federal courts and before various arbitrators and mediators involving corporate disputes and claims for breach of contract, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge and wage-and-hour claims pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”). In addition to litigation, Marc is highly skilled at drafting and negotiating employment agreements, restrictive covenants, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, service contracts, employee handbooks and company policies. Marc also proficiently handles asset purchase agreements and other complex corporate transactions as they relate to MPPAA withdrawal liability.
